Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: May 2026 · Applies to: licenceready.ca

Short version: LicenceReady participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click a partner link and purchase a product or request an insurance quote, we may earn a small commission — at absolutely no extra cost to you. This revenue helps us keep all practice tests free for every Canadian learner driver.

1. What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a performance-based arrangement where a website (LicenceReady) refers visitors to a third-party product or service. If the visitor completes a qualifying action — such as requesting an insurance quote or signing up for a service — the referring website receives a commission from the third-party company.

The commission is paid entirely by the partner company. You pay exactly the same price you would pay if you visited the partner directly. There is no markup, surcharge, or hidden fee passed on to you.

2. Our Current Affiliate Partners

LicenceReady currently participates in affiliate programs with the following types of partners:

Specific partner relationships are subject to change. Where an affiliate relationship exists, the relevant content will be clearly labelled near the link or button. Affiliate relationships do not influence our practice test content, question accuracy, or editorial recommendations.

Amazon Associates Program Disclosure

LicenceReady is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. Our Amazon Associate ID is licenceready2-20.

When you click an Amazon product link on LicenceReady (for example, in our Recommended Resources section or within blog posts) and make a qualifying purchase, LicenceReady earns a small commission from Amazon. This commission is paid by Amazon and comes at no additional cost to you — you pay the same price you would pay going directly to Amazon.

Products we recommend through Amazon are selected because we believe they provide genuine value to Canadian learner drivers and newcomers — such as official driver's handbooks, citizenship study guides, and safe-driving accessories. Our recommendations are based on relevance and quality, not commission rates.

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc., or its affiliates.

3. How We Label Affiliate Content

In compliance with the Canadian Competition Bureau's guidelines on deceptive marketing and the requirements of affiliate networks we participate in, all affiliate links and sponsored content on LicenceReady are identified clearly:

4. What We Earn (and What We Do Not)

We earn a commission only when a user completes a qualifying action (such as requesting a quote) after clicking an affiliate link. We do not earn anything from clicks alone on most programs. We have no control over the pricing, terms, availability, or quality of products offered by our affiliate partners.

Affiliate income helps cover the cost of hosting, data maintenance (such as the 446-location Canadian driving test centre directory), and ongoing development of new study tools. Without this revenue, LicenceReady could not remain free.

5. Our Editorial Independence

The existence of an affiliate relationship with a company does not mean we endorse that company above others, nor does it influence which questions appear in our practice tests, how passing scores are defined, or what information we present about driving tests and licensing in each province.

All factual content on LicenceReady — including test centre addresses, hours, official passing thresholds, and licensing authority details — is sourced from official government and provincial authority sources and maintained independently of any commercial relationships.

7. Questions

If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or this disclosure, please contact us at hello@licenceready.ca.

Remember: clicking an affiliate link and getting a quote is completely optional. All of LicenceReady's practice tests, flashcards, and study guides are free and will remain free regardless of whether you use any partner link.
